All these days though far from home ,through silchar.com felt I am in the midst of my family in silchar who has a common aim ,common interest.My best wishes to silchar.com that it may carry on its good work for Silchar ,for Assam.

Many Congratulations to DEBOJIT.
And a BIGGER CONGRATULATIONS to all those, who for the past couple of months stuck together from bringing in GLORY for their HOMELAND. Debojit gave us a way to show how much we love our homeland and how much we miss it every moment.
Tears rolled down my eyes, the moment Debojit was announced winner, as if it was my personal victory. People were calling me and Congratulating me on his win, which continued till the late in night.
I also thank each and everyone, other than a SILCHARI, who has cast even a single vote for Debojit. Especially, we should be really grateful to all those from the Brahmaputra Valley, they made the diifference.
WE HAVE STAYED UNITED FOR DEBOJIT, NOW WE SHOULD STAY TOGETHER TO MAKE OUR SILCHAR A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE.
LONG LIVE SILCHAR, LONG LIVE ASSAM.

Total Vote : 5.5 crore
Vote from East : 2.9 crore (approx 53%)
Debu would have polled at least 10% vote from outside NE, which means Vinit got at least around 15% vote from East (which turns to at least 45 Lakhs).. I read somewhere in india-forums that Vinit actually got 87 Lakhs vote from East..
WHO WERE THESE GUYS WHO VOTED FOR VINIT  ?

GLORY BE to Samujjal Bhattacharya, Chairman of NESO and Adviser to AASU and to AASU itself - for ignoring the fears of their own creation, trusting their instinct and jumping into a new ocean with all their might! Without AASU, the tsunami would not have been created in Brahmaputra valley.
GLORY BE to the Assamese people in Guwahati and other places in Assam who gave their hearts to one, we thought, were not their own till the other day! It takes much to go around town shouting "Dejojitok jitabo laagibo-e"
GLORY BE to the Debojit Fan Club of Silchar! Every tsunami needs a potent core force - one that moves with self belief long before the masses join the bandwagon.
GLORY BE to these madcaps of SILCHAR.COM and its Admin! The kind of support in its forums could create revolutions and it did.
While we celebrate Debojit, we must recognize the real architects of victory are here - I saw on TV the kids in Silchar singing a song that went "Hum ne winner banaya...". For once the little guys showed their might and screamed and shouted and kicked and grabbed victory.
May you always be victorious!!!!!!

P.S.: My wholly American sales team was given a new rallying cry today - Yalgar Ho - and they are mighty kicked about it!
